I am still hopeful that I will get below 305# this week and make a run at 300# by September 1st. I can feel the mental fog setting in that I interpret as my brain being fueled by ketone bodies as I burn fat, so I am expecting to be down again for my weigh-in in the morning. Tomorrow it is back to the gym for my midweek lifting session.

Exercise is great if you can find something you like doing, so you can really stick to it. I happen to like weight training and "body building" is predominantly about controlling your bodyfat, anyway.
Yeah, the Westside YMCA (west 63rd st. in Manhattan) has some bags in a room on the fifth floor. I am not a boxer, but i am considering joining a judo class when i get a bit skinnier.
If your gym has concept2 rowing machines those are a pretty awesome full body workout, which can build muscle if you really push your self.
