My goal is to continue to develop my strength through weight training while losing enough bodyfat to become visibly lean. This blog will document my diet and exercise regimen in my quest to reach a bodyweight of 275# in 2005, while at least maintaining my current strength level. In 2001, when I joined my gym, I weighed 385#. Over the next 3 years I lost 30# and dramatically increased my strength with out dieting. This past November I started dieting and have lost an additional 45#.

Thanks Adam.
I am 6'4". My BMI is 36.5. <30 is my goal.
Congrats on reaching that milestone! I love the first photo!
Wow the 35# is a very big difference in you!! You can totally see it [I'm a little jealous right now]
Awesome work, keep it up!
Thanks all. I will shoot the same three poses again at 285#, to continue to measure progress. If my calculations are right 275# will put me in the high end of the normal bodyfat range (at least by American standards) so 285# should be a dramatic difference.
Congratulations! Seriously. You.Rock.
You look gorgeous in all your pics. You are an inspiration to me, Robert.
Thanks Becky, although these are more cautionary pictures to me than a celebration of progress. I really feel as if I am much thinner than the camera is showing, which of course is a major reason I have let my weight get so high. Unless you are a muscular sevenfooter, there is no reason for anyone to weigh 300#!
I figure I am at least 30# away from not being disapointed when I catch a glimpse of my reflection.
Thanks Kelly. The bodyimage problem is IMHO, much tougher for women because optimal bodyfat percentage is so subjective for them. Up to a certain point more fat is better on them, whereas it is never really a positive for men.
